LASER
VISION CORRECTION -
Can change the way you see the world |
|
Complimentary
Screening Examinations
Our
screening exams are free of charge. We will evaluate your eyes to
determine if you are a good candidate for laser vision correction.
During this time we will also evaluate your needs and expectations
for the surgery.
We
hope that you will use this time to make sure you understand and
appreciate why thousands have come to trust our practice over the
last 15 years.
Computerized
Corneal Mapping
Corneal
topography is a digital representation of the surface of the eye.
These measurements reveal subtle irregularities of the surface of
the eye and increases the procedures predictability. Few surgeons
measure both surfaces of the cornea.
Using
the Orbscan topographer, irregularities of the posterior surface
of the cornea can also be detected. Most patients with posterior
corneal irregularities should not have laser vision correction since
the results are less predictable. Your laser vision correction specialist
should be offering you this state of the art technology.
Post-Operative
Care
Your
post-operative visits are included in your global fee. Surgery is
usually performed on a Thursday. This allows ample time to adjust
to your new vision and return to work by Monday! Post-operative
care may be combined with your family eye doctor.
Over
95% of Laser Vision Correction patients are able to drive a car
without spectacles!
Why
Choose Omni Eye Specialists?
We
offer total medical and surgical eye care. As one of the largest
multi-specialty ophthalmic groups in the state, we offer total medical
and surgical eye care, including laser vision correction. Consistent
with our philosophy of providing you with fellowship trained sub-specialists,
Dr. Garcia is our laser vision correction specialist. He received
his fellowship training from Johns Hopkins.
Dr.
Ivan Garcia, voted Best of Baltimore, is the only laser vision correction
surgeon of our group. He has a long history of providing excellent
care in our area.
Our
commitment is truly lifelong. As a leading medical practice
in the area, we have a great chance of being able to provide you
with lifelong care. Most "laser centers" treat laser vision correction
as a commodity and can only stay in business if they remain profit
centers. What is their definition of a lifelong guarantee?
There
are no ridiculous promises or gimmicks. We believe that when
you are considering eye surgery, you should not be persuaded by
price or promises.
LASIK
Surgery with the VISX Laser:
Dr.
Garcia is a VISX certified specialist. He prefers using the
VISX STAR S4 Excimer Laser with Wavescan Custom Treatment Technology. VISX excimer lasers are the most trusted
and utilized worldwide. Dr. Garcia prefers to use The Refractive
Surgery Center of the Wilmer Eye Institute (Johns Hopkins, Greenspring
Station).
The
best laser. The best laser facility... and the best doctor!
